Privacy Policy

Eildon Park Cricket Club (“the club”, “the Panthers”) is a community cricket club in Rowville, Victoria. This policy covers epcc.org.au and the emails the club sends from it.

When you join the email list, we keep your first name, last name and email address, and the date you joined or left. The club may also add the email addresses given on player registrations, including parents, guardians and emergency contacts, so that families hear club news.

We use these details only to send club news, match reports, event updates and club notices. Every email has an unsubscribe link, and unsubscribing takes effect for every future email. We don’t sell or share the list.

The list is stored with Supabase, and emails are sent through Amazon Simple Email Service, both on servers in Sydney. The club Secretary is told when someone joins or leaves the list.

The site publishes players’ names, teams and cricket statistics from the club’s records and from Play Cricket, the sport’s scoring system, along with scorecards, match reports and highlight clips. Some players also have a photo, a short bio or a sponsor on their page, added by the club.

If you’d like your name hidden, a photo or bio removed, or a record corrected, contact the Secretary (below).

We use Google Analytics to see how many people visit and which pages they read. It sets cookies and collects information such as your approximate location, device and the pages you visit. Google’s own policy explains how it handles that data, and you can opt out with Google’s browser add-on.

The site also remembers a few things in your own browser, such as whether you’ve closed the review banner and how you’ve set up the stats tables. This stays on your device.

Some pages show content from other services: maps from Google Maps, videos from YouTube, match highlights from Play Cricket’s video provider and weather from Open-Meteo. Those services receive your IP address when they load.

Club committee members who run the website sign in to its admin area, by email and password or with their Google account. For this we keep their name, email address and when they last signed in, and a sign-in cookie keeps them signed in. Access is by invitation only. Signing in with Google shares only your name, email address and profile picture with the club.
